About the Lennox Head-Alstonville SLSC

The Clubhouse under constructionThe Lennox Head-Alstonville Surf Life Saving Club was formed in December, 1973, with the first Official Meeting of the Club recorded as the 7 January, 1974.  The first Bronze squad was examined at Byron Bay on February 3rd and nine were successful:

* Mick Hobbins - Qualifying Certificate (SLS Certificate)

The original cost of the club was $49,320 which was made up of $6000 funds from members and sponsors and $43,320 from The Federal Government.
